Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of bestdays.io and the Best Days mobile apps (together, the “Service”), operated by Best Days (“we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. What Best Days is
Best Days helps you plan around the weather. We scan publicly available weather forecast data (from Open-Meteo) for any city you search and surface the upcoming days that best match your chosen weather preference — sunny, snowy, rainy, mild, warm, or cool.
About the forecast data. Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. The first 1–7 days are usually reliable. Beyond that, accuracy drops sharply; days 16–46 come from extended seasonal outlooks that should be treated as rough guidance, not a guarantee. Use Best Days as one input among many when planning. We make no promise that the weather on any given day will match the forecast.
2. Your account
You can use parts of the Service without an account. To save plans, get email alerts, or subscribe to Premium, you’ll need to sign in with an email address or through Google or GitHub.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to create an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
3. Best Days Premium
What you get
Active Premium subscribers receive:
- Email alerts when new best days appear for your tracked locations and preferences.
- Unlimited tracked plans (free accounts are limited).
- An ad-free experience.
Pricing and billing
- Monthly: US$4.99 per month, billed every month until canceled.
- Annual: US$39 per year, billed once per year until canceled.
Prices may change in the future; we’ll notify existing subscribers in advance and you can cancel before the next billing cycle if you don’t want to continue at the new price.
Auto-renewal
Both plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) using the payment method on file, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation
- If you subscribed on bestdays.io (Stripe): cancel any time from the “Manage subscription” link in the app, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium until then.
- If you subscribed through the iOS or Android app: cancellation must be done through Apple or Google’s subscription settings (we cannot cancel Apple/Google subscriptions on your behalf). Same end-of-period rule applies.
Refunds
- Stripe (web): Refund requests within 7 days of purchase — or within 7 days of an unintended renewal — will generally be granted. After that, refunds are at our discretion.
- Apple / Google (mobile): Refunds are handled by Apple and Google directly, under their refund policies. We can’t refund Apple or Google purchases ourselves; you’ll need to request through their support channels.
- Statutory refund rights (for example, the EU 14-day right of withdrawal) are not affected by this section.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or otherwise extract bulk data from Best Days (the underlying forecast data is freely available from Open-Meteo if you need it).
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Premium features.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or systems.
- Use Best Days to harass, defame, or harm others.
- Interfere with normal operation (denial-of-service, abuse of APIs, etc.).
- Use Best Days where doing so violates applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where possible we’ll warn you first; egregious or repeat violations may result in immediate termination without notice.
5. Your content
When you save a tracked plan, share a Best Days URL, or otherwise enter information into the Service, you keep ownership of that content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to operate the Service (for example, storing your saved plans, generating alert emails, rendering a shared link).
6. Our intellectual property
The Best Days name, logo, branding, app design, and source code are owned by us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property rights to you.
7. Third-party services
Best Days relies on third-party services (Open-Meteo, Supabase, Stripe, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Resend, Vercel, Google AdSense). We don’t control these services, can make no promises about their availability, and aren’t responsible for their actions or content. Their separate terms and privacy policies may also apply.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Best Days does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any weather forecast. Plans based on Best Days forecasts are made at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither we nor our third-party providers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) US$50.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. In those places, the above exclusions and limits apply only to the extent permitted by law, and you may have additional rights.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any third-party claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if continuing to provide the Service to you is impractical for legal, safety, or operational reasons.

12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. You and we waive any right to a jury trial.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction (for example, parts of the EU) that grants you a non-waivable right to bring claims in your home courts, this section does not affect that right.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
